Sonic Youth new album "The Eternal"

Sonic Youth will release their new album entitled "The Eternal" in June 2009. In Japan, we could get Japanese exclusive limited special package including an artbook produced by Tomoo Gokita and Masayuki Shiota. this artbook will be remake of a fanzine "sonic death" previously issued by Sonic Youth themselves. also a T-shirt and bonus CD "New York Battery Park live" will be included into the package. the bonus-live CD is exclusive for Japan, would be issue only for LP vinyl form in US. the release date will be 9th June, worldwide.

I've heard that beck entirly coverd Sonic's album "evol" and would be include into this special package, but that's not announced yet. just one song has released in 7inch single vinyle.

- The Sonic Youth / Beck split features each band covering the other:  Pay No Mind (from Mellow Gold) and Green Light (from  Evol).

Beck x Number (N)ine artwork of One Foot in the Grave

This month Beck will reissue his 1994 folkie record One Foot in the Grave, complete with a new cover by Takahiro Miyashita, from the recently shuttered Number (N)ine. Sadly, it's Japan-only—the artwork, not the reissue—but stateside fans can find a T-shirt printed with the image at Number (N)ine's (still open) NYC store.

he's featured as a model of zucca clothes , and interviewd with Jess Holzworth. Jess is a visual artist. Beck saw her works at zucca store in Paris, and they started their friendship. also, she shot Beck's music video "Gamma Ray" included in special edition of his album called "Modern Guilt" colaborated with Zucca.

Beck appears on a Compilation album called "War Child". He coveres Bob Dylan's song called "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat".
this album contains other 15 cover songs by famous artists, for example, Lily Allen, Rufus Wainwright, Franz Ferdinand and so on.
For me, the highlights are Beck and Rufus.

this package will release as a memorial item of beck's Japan tour 2009, contain a CD, DVD and a bag made by Zucca. DVD inculudes 5 music videos and interview films.

I've heard from some beck fans this CD set is sold out at almost every zucca shop in Tokyo, for example Shibuya, Aoyama, Marunouchi. however, it will be sold in CD shops like towerrecord and HMV in APR, I'm not sure about this info.

渋谷や青山、丸の内など東京では多くのzuccaのお店で売り切れているようです。4月に入ってから、HMVやタワーなどのCDショップで売るかもしれない、という話も聞きますが、正確な情報か、わかりません。
