Steven Alan’s capsule collection for The Designers Invitation Project, launching March 19th at UNIQLO. This collection is limited, hurry up to Uniqlo.

Steven Alan started to produce his clothes in 1999. last year he collaborated with Beauty and Youth in Japan.

スティーブン・アランによるユニクロのデザイナーインヴィテーションの作品。スティーブン・アランは1999年からNYで服作りをはじめたブランドで、昨年Beauty & youth とのコラボレーションもありました。

前回の記事でJosh Podollとのコラボレーションについてレポートしましたが、ちょっと前にやったユニクロもこうして並べるととてもかわいいので、載せておきます。デザイナーズインビテーションは期間限定、急げ！

Uniqlo x Opening Ceremony zip-front cardigan vs Opening Ceremony zip-front cardigan

either of them are designed by Opening Ceremony, blue one is for Uniqlo, beige one is for their own label. they are simillar in shape, judging from pics, they are different in material, beige one looks softer and thinner, so it might be easy and better feel to wear. when I tried uniqlo's one, I felt slightly thick in material.

どちらもオープニング・セレモニーがデザインしたもので、青いのがユニクロとのコラボレーション、ベージュはオープニング・セレモニーブランドのものです。

形は同じだけど素材が違うのだと思います。写真で見るとベージュのやつのほうがやわらかくて着心地はよさそう。ユニクロのほうは試着してみたときにちょっとごわっとする感じでした。

だけどもだけど、オープニングセレモニー版は2万円以上だけどユニクロなら4千円くらい。。。質をとるか、値段で決めるか。。。

however, uniqlo's price is set around $40, Opening Cremony's price is $230. hmm...quality vs cost problem occured here.

Jil Sander + UNIQLO

as fasionsnap.comreported, Jil Sander's JS CONSULTING co. made contract with UNIQLO  for Consulting. She will direct particular line or something for UNIQLO from F/W 2009. UNIQLO is run by FAST RETAILING CO., LTD., and they also run high end line like Helmut Lung. so I'm not sure that her label would be so easy to get as uniqlo. 

anyway, It's a quite surprising news for us. Jil Sander is still popular for us, Japanese, after left Jil Sander brand. welcome!

Uniqlo × Opening ceremony

Uniqlo collaborated with Opening ceremony and released some items on 6th March.

this collaboration campaign is called "Designers invitation project", and held every half year.

this Spring, Steven Alan and Shipley & Halmos designed for women in this project.

I think this clopped pants is nice.

この春はスティーヴンアランや、シプレイ&ハルモスが、女性用のデザインをしています。

Q-tip appears on a commercial of uniqlo

2月10日頃来日したQ-Tipが、ユニクロのCMに出ています。09春夏のパーカスタイルのキャンペン用のCMです。
既に放映されていますが、来日中に撮影されたものだとすれば、短期間で仕上がるものなのだな、と驚きます。

日本のラッパー、スチャダラパーも出演しています。シンコの顔が面白いです。

I reckon it was shot while he came to Japan around this 10th Feb, If so, I'm surprised that it has already broadcasted in such short producing time.

Also, Japnese rap group Scha-dara-par appear on it. check his funny face, DJ Shinco is in the leftside.
